We welcomed the Year of the Dragon with a festive lunch that featured lou sang, a lucky draw, and some fun games. It was a great way for everyone to come together, share good vibes, and kick off the Lunar New Year with utmost joy.
Festive celebrations in Malaysia are vibrant and harmonious occasions that bring people from various ethnicities and backgrounds together – this year’s Chinese New Year celebration at Suezcap was no exception!
The 2024 Chinese New Year marks the beginning of the Year of The Dragon. This zodiac is considered a celestial and divine creature that lives in the heavenly realm with mythical deities, and has the ability to control natural elements such as wind and water.
In Chinese culture, the Dragon represents vitality, strength and wisdom, and we highly anticipate this year to bring about auspicious business opportunities and exciting career advancements for all.
To kickstart our festive luncheon, we started with a company-wide Lou Sang. How did we manage to pull this off and get everyone involved? Take a look at how our Yee Sang dish was laid out on the table that reached up to a few metres – what a grand and marvellous sight to accommodate our ever-growing team!
With everyone dressed in bright hues of red, orange and yellow, the atmosphere was buzzing with laughter and conversations as everyone stood around the table, waiting eagerly to toss the colourful Yee Sang.
We were all smiles as we tossed the Yee Sang up high and shouted auspicious wishes for good fortune, good luck, and good prospects in the new year ahead.
After enjoying our Yee Sang toss and lunch, it was time for the team to put our brains together – not for work, but for games! We had intense discussions, back-and-forth conversations, and brainstorming sessions to puzzle over mandarin orange slices instead of spreadsheets and documents!
Lastly, the luncheon ended with a lucky draw, with several winners walking away with attractive prizes and gifts.
Suezcap’s 2024 Chinese New Year luncheon ended with heaps of laughter, joyful conversations, and good vibes. It was a great way to bring everyone together to foster stronger bonds and kick off the Chinese New Year in a cheery atmosphere!
